With fuel prices skyrocketing and airline flights cancelling, more and more Coloradans are considering a “staycation.” Ever heard of that?
It’s a spin off “vacation” but you stay close to home. In fact, as I write this on Father’s Day morning, all of our current glampers are “staycationers.” They live in the Denver and Colorado Springs areas, not far at all.
And it’s in the dictionary! From Oxford, a staycation is “a vacation spent in one’s home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.”
