Last night, we refunded a guest staying in Secret Garden because snow was moving into Monument.
That’s always been our policy at Monument Glamping: if weather genuinely ruins the experience, we take care of people. We never want guests feeling trapped by a reservation when conditions turn uncomfortable or unsafe.
But once the snow actually arrived?
The property turned magical.
The fire crackled under the covered patio. Steam rolled off the hot tub into the cold air. Geese gathered down by the creek. Inside, the tiny container home felt warm, quiet, and incredibly cozy.
It became one of those classic Colorado evenings that people usually remember for years.
That contrast is part of what makes glamping special.
You’re close enough to nature to experience the weather, the sounds, the changing atmosphere—but still comfortable enough to enjoy it instead of endure it.
This short video gives a glimpse into what Secret Garden looked like during the snowfall.
Honestly, we wish they would’ve stayed.
