Most everything within a 10-20 minute drive from Monument Creek Resort is the “Tri-lakes Area,” reference to three prominent lakes in our northern El Paso County vicinity. If you’re into water enjoyment, Monument Lake and Palmer Lake are the public attractions for fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and sunbathing (swimming beaches are not available), and hiking trails of Pike National Forest are always close by.
To get a better idea of the Tri-lakes Area, we recommend a visit to the local Tri-lakes Chamber of Commerce (https://www.trilakeschamber.com). Its office is two minutes away in downtown Monument. Say hi to Terri, Nathan, Abigail or Julie when you visit, they are most helpful to our area patrons. And be sure to mention that you’re staying at Monument Creek Resort!
