Some of the best stays start with something happening nearby β and this weekend, Monument and the Tri-Lakes area have a good one.
On Saturday and Sunday, June 13β14, the new Elephant Rock Experience is hosting an open house in neighboring Palmer Lake, just up Highway 105 from us. It’s a sneak peek at a brand-new arts, wellness, and entertainment destination, and the two days are packed: guided tours, visual arts, a craft market, demonstration classes, and live music straight through the afternoon β names like Crystal & The Curious, Go Go Girlzilla, and WireWood Station on Saturday, and Hickabee, Johnny Long, and Ashtonz on Sunday, with beer, wine, and food on hand. (You can find the full schedule at elephantrockexperience.com.)
It’s exactly the kind of easygoing day that’s better when you don’t have to rush home afterward. And that’s where private-property glamping changes the math.
Monument Glamping isn’t a campground, an RV park, or a resort. It’s your own space in Monument, Colorado β a luxury safari tent or container home with a real bed, a private deck, your own hot tub, and your own fire pit, tucked along the creek. When there’s an event up the road, our guests get the best of both: a full afternoon out in the community, then a five-minute drive back to a quiet place that’s entirely theirs. No tearing down a campsite. No long drive home in the dark. No packing camping gear you don’t own. Just show up.
Picture the weekend. You arrive Friday and settle in β fire pit going, hot tub steaming, nothing on the schedule but rest. Saturday you head over to the Elephant Rock open house, wander the craft market, catch a band, grab a bite. Then you come back to your tent, watch the stars come out over the canvas, and let the day wind down on your own deck. Sunday, you do as much or as little as you like before an unhurried checkout.
This is what we mean when we say a great location is part of the amenity. Monument sits right in the middle of the Tri-Lakes area, with hikes, local events, and small-town character all close by β and Monument Glamping gives you a comfortable, private place to land in the middle of it all.
If a weekend like that sounds right, there are still a couple of openings for June 13β14. Check availability and book direct at MonumentGlamping.com β and find the event details at elephantrockexperience.com. Come enjoy the weekend; we’ll keep the quiet ready for you.
